As we begin our 36th year, I am more excited than ever to lead the Leather Institute Of Zimbabwe.
Leather Institute of Zimbabwe (LIZ) was established on the first of January 1985 by the footwear and leather goods manufacturers of Zimbabwe to address problems relating to shortage of skilled labour, technical and managerial staff and the needs of the industry regarding value addition of hides and skins .
Its members included hides merchants, tanners, footwear and accessory manufacturers, travel goods and allied products manufacturers, major retailers and companies that provide input such as chemicals to the industry. LIZ has two laboratories (physical and chemical) and a training facility and standard library with tools that benefit its members…
